In September, MAIW celebrates the start of the year with a cocktail to which all members of the industry are invited. This is an opportunity for the president of MAIW to present her executive and for the first vice-president to present to us her activity program for the next term.

Nouara Lanasri et Safa Zawahreh Training: The Landscape of Civil Liability and Astronomical Verdicts in the United States

AFAM offers both members and non-members the opportunity to participate in various training sessions accredited by the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages (ChAD).

Our next training session will take place on January 29 and will last one hour. It will focus on the civil liability landscape and the astronomical verdicts in the United States.

2026 Annual Fundraiser

AFAM is pleased to invite you to an evening fundraiser in support of organizations that assist women in need. All proceeds from this event will be donated to La Fondation du Chaînon, the Montreal Women’s Centre, and WICC.

The evening will feature a cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner, and musical entertainment.

Public Speaking Contest

Do you want to stand out from the crowd with your eloquence and speaking skills? So you’re just the person we’re looking for to take part in our Public Speaking Competition.

Here is some information for the speakers

The subject must be chosen from among those suggested.
The speech will last five (5) minutes.
Speakers must not identify themselves, their location or their Association in the content of their speech.
Before the start of the competition, a draw will be made to establish the order of speakers.
Speakers will remain outside the room until it is their turn.
The winner will not be eligible to participate in the Concours d’art oratoire for a period of two (2) years.

Conference & Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Association of Women in Insurance (CAWI) – 2026

Every year, a member association is responsible for organizing and hosting CAIW Annual Meeting and Convention. It is an event that takes place over 3 days where members from across Canada gather to elect the new executive, to participate in business sessions, educational activities as well as fun activities.

The Annual General Meeting and Conference of the CAWI will be held in Blue Mountain, Ontario — the first time in over 10 years that our national conference returns to Ontario.

The organizing committee is actively working to prepare a spectacular event for 2026.

Annual Golf Tournament – 46th Edition
